In this guest article I wrote, I tell about what it was like to be diagnosed with a disease I had never heard of, and how difficult it was at first. Now that I have been living gluten-free for many years, I sometimes forget how I felt in the beginning… writing this article brought me back to that overwhelming time. It’s important that we remember the grieving process that people may need to go through when they are first told they must give up gluten for the rest of their lives.
